(V8.12 missing from Swarupananda indexed text)
With all the gates closed, the mind shut into the heart, the life-breath fixed in the head, engaged in firm Yoga,
He who, having closed all the gates of the body, confined the mind in the heart, fixed the life-breath in the head, and taking his stand in firm Yoga,
That way--the highest way--goes he who shuts The gates of all his senses, locks desire Safe in his heart, centres the vital airs Upon his parting thought, steadfastly set;
He who leaves the body and departs (from this world), stopping up all passages, and confining the mind within the heart, placing the life-breath in the head, and adhering to uninterrupted meditation.
